| Here We Grow Again! |
The Wellness Management and Recovery CCOE will be expanding the project to six additional community providers in Ohio beginning this month. Agencies were given an opportunity to respond to a request for proposal in April of this year. There were a number of outstanding applicants and we appreciate all that applied. The new implementation sites will be scheduling their Community Kick Offs in the coming months and the CCOE will provide training for staff and consumers immediately following these events. The WMR model is based on a psychoeducational curriculum and supports individuals through education, skill building, and group process in achieving an overall healthier lifestyle. This model is co-facilitated by an individual who is identified as a mental health specialist within a provider organization and a person living with a psychiatric disorder. The co-facilitation approach models for participants the collaboration and partnership that can be very beneficial in improving overall wellness. We welcome the new agencies and look forward to working with them in the coming months. If you have any questions on how you can access WMR programs or if your agency is interested in becoming involved with the WMR CCOE, please contact Kelly Wesp, Program Coordinator, at kwesp@wmrohio.org. |
